About the U pen PCB

U pen is an open source PCB design by TheAbsoluteMin, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 4-layer board measuring 130.5 × 16.8 mm, with 24 components from 12 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the LSM6DSV16XTR, MAX17048G_T10 and USBLC6-2SC6. By type, the board carries 4 test points, 3 ICs, 2 switches and 1 connector.

It belongs with the iot & wireless, power & battery and sensors designs in this gallery.

From the project

A WiFi-enabled smart pen that records handwritten math equations and solves them.

Initially, uPen was named Insta-Form, and it would have served as an alternative for Photomath. With its own camera, it would have captured images of math problems during engineering work and then solve them instantly in order to provide a seamless experience when working with mathematical models, physics, or measurement calculations. Before, I would personally spend a lot of time writing out equations and models by hand or on a calculator. Now, uPen seeks to increase productivity and efficiency by bypassing the precious time required to find answers manually. As I have worked extensively on…
