From the project

an electronic wind instrument / clarinet / flute / not sure

fork of devboard-04, combined with body design sketches from \CAD\clarinoid3-devboardfork\00 for proto & testing of physical: - physical clearance - ergonomics - strength of body

- castellated holes - volume placement & sub-board - panelization of sub-boards - inter-board headers - front & back assembly - various cap touch slider patterns

00 = initial; actually made a lot of progress already. LH pretty much done. 01 = let's work on RH and try to get this thing produced. HM making a lot of progress, main subboard for example. but if i want ideal ergonomics / interconnect / component…

Clarinoid bodytest: common questions

What microcontroller does the Clarinoid bodytest use?

The Clarinoid bodytest is built around the C841659, from the NXP family.

How big is the Clarinoid bodytest PCB?

The Clarinoid bodytest measures 258 × 28 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Clarinoid bodytest?

106 components, from 63 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Clarinoid bodytest design files?

From the thenfour/Clarinoid repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Clarinoid bodytest design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with thenfour. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Clarinoid bodytest without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug NXP firmware against it before you order a PCB.
