The pico2-ice is a small, low cost board with the Raspberry Pi Pico processor (RP2350) and a Lattice Semiconductor iCE40UP5K FPGA. The board features independent flash for the FPGA and RP2350, low power PSRAM, a couple of pushbuttons and a two 3 color LED with all FPGA and RP2350 pins brought out to easy to use 0.1" header pins (arranged as Pmod's) for fast prototyping.

Pico2-ice: common questions

What microcontroller does the Pico2-ice use?

The Pico2-ice is built around the RP2350_80QFN, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the Pico2-ice PCB?

The Pico2-ice measures 27.9 × 63.5 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.5842 mm thick.

How many components are on the Pico2-ice?

97 components, from 34 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Pico2-ice design files?

From the tinyvision-ai-inc/pico2-ice repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Pico2-ice design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which tinyvision-ai-inc chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Pico2-ice without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
