About the PNCATEHO Welcome PCB

PNCATEHO Welcome is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by aroum, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-P-2.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 85.6 × 54 mm, with 58 components from 21 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. Other key parts include the RT9013-33GB, W25Q128JVS and USBLC6-2SC6. By type, the board carries 17 capacitors, 12 switches, 12 diodes, 9 resistors, 4 ICs and 2 connectors.

It belongs with the keyboards designs in this gallery.

From the project

РИСАТЕНО (RISATENO) is a 10 key chord keyboard.

This is an era where the controller is soldered directly onto the PCB, exploring various form factors such as, for example, a PNCATEHO the size of a card. A project can become a flashlight, a development board, or even a portable gaming console. It all depends on the imagination of the community. The main contribution to this era has been made by the authors of the inpudiy community.

PNCATEHO Welcome: common questions

What microcontroller does the PNCATEHO Welcome use?

The PNCATEHO Welcome is built around the RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the PNCATEHO Welcome PCB?

The PNCATEHO Welcome measures 85.6 × 54 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the PNCATEHO Welcome?

58 components, from 21 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the PNCATEHO Welcome design files?

From the aroum/PNCATEHO repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the PNCATEHO Welcome design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CERN-OHL-P-2.0 license, which aroum chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the PNCATEHO Welcome without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
