Firmware for my custom smart-ish-watch, mark II

This folder has a few different subfolders, explained below. The schematic and PCB for the watch were designed using KiCad. All of the development on the current form of the schematic + PCB takes place in the watch2board` folder. The case for the watch was designed in OpenSCAD, and was designed to be 3D printed. The rest of the folders are kept for archival purposes.

Watch2 (copy): common questions

What microcontroller does the Watch2 (copy) use?

The Watch2 (copy) is built around the ESP32-WROVER, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the Watch2 (copy) PCB?

The Watch2 (copy) measures 48.5 × 42.9 mm and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Watch2 (copy)?

70 components, from 43 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Watch2 (copy) design files?

From the atctwo/watch-II repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Watch2 (copy) design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which atctwo chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Watch2 (copy) without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
