About the DigitalTimer PCB

DigitalTimer is an open source PCB design by Bican-Valeriu-Cristian, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 82 × 84 mm, with 35 components from 17 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the L7805, 74LS73, 74LS08, 4071 and HDSP-7403. By type, the board carries 14 resistors, 11 ICs, 4 capacitors, 2 switches and 1 connector.

It belongs with the displays & leds designs in this gallery.

From the project

The project involves a digital timer that counts up to one minute. Each counter's 4-bit output is fed into a binary-to-7-segment decoder, enabling number display on 7-segment displays. The circuit includes switches for starting/stopping the timer and resetting the count.

This circuit diagram represents a digital timer capable of counting seconds up to one minute. The circuit operates by generating a clock signal with a precise frequency of 1 Hz (once per second) using an oscillator based on the NE555 timer. This signal is connected to the count-up input of an integrated circuit counter.…
