Portable Biofeedback device for anxiety management

A repository that stores hardware and software files developed for the Portable Biofeedback Device, as worked on and built by students in the Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE) Department of the College of Engineering & Computer Science (CECS) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) in Orlando, Florida.

The accompanying Android app was developed in Android Studio 3.5.3, making use of Android SDK/API 21 (Android 5).

The KiCad project lives in the DiegoBriceno03/Portable-Biofeedback repository on GitHub; these links point at the commit this page was built from.

Prototype Rev-: common questions

What microcontroller does the Prototype Rev- use?

The Prototype Rev- is built around the ESP32-WROOM-32, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the Prototype Rev- PCB?

The Prototype Rev- measures 59.9 × 66.3 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Prototype Rev-?

104 components, from 43 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Prototype Rev- design files?

From the DiegoBriceno03/Portable-Biofeedback repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Prototype Rev- design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with DiegoBriceno03. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Prototype Rev- without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
