From the project

Working notes for the first custom RP2350A board with ADXL355, USB-C development power/data, 12 V field input, RS485, and a power architecture biased toward a clean accelerometer supply.

- Keep firmware changes small by staying close to Raspberry Pi Pico 2/RP2350A. - Give ADXL355 the quietest practical supply and layout environment. - Allow development from USB-C without a 12 V supply. - Allow normal field operation from 12 V. - Prevent backfeeding between USB VBUS and the 12 V/buck input. - Keep the schematic easy to manufacture externally, even if components are small.

RP2350: common questions

What microcontroller does the RP2350 use?

The RP2350 is built around the OKI-78SR-5_1_5-W36-C, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the RP2350 PCB?

The RP2350 measures 51.4 × 31.4 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the RP2350?

85 components, from 54 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the RP2350 design files?

From the engelberd/sensor-system repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the RP2350 design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with engelberd. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the RP2350 without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
