About the Rioctrl shiftio PCB

Rioctrl shiftio is an open source PCB design by festlv, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-S-2.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 100 × 100 mm, with 137 components from 16 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the 74HC595D,118, ELQ3H4(TA)-G and 74HC165D,653. By type, the board carries 67 resistors, 33 transistors, 16 diodes, 12 ICs, 5 connectors and 4 capacitors.

It belongs with the robotics & motion designs in this gallery.

From the project

Hardware design for modular CNC controller

This module provides the following IOs: 16 opto-isolated digital outputs (PNP, external voltage input 5-24V in two groups). Each output is capable of sourcing ~0.6A of current and has over-current protection. 16 opto-isolated digital inputs (12-24V, both sourcing and sinking connections are possible).

Due to slot width limitations, each group of outputs (4 in total) are fitted with spring-type pluggable terminal blocks (LCSC part number: C2908401).
