Radxa Arduino Shield -------------------- The RAS (Radxa Arduino Shield) is an addon-shield for the radxa rock (pro). It contains an arduino micro clone running at 3.3V connected over i2c with the radxa. The shield also includes an OLED 16x2 char display, also connected over i2c. It can be used by the radxa or the arduino.

EspDevBoard: common questions

What microcontroller does the EspDevBoard use?

The EspDevBoard is built around the ESP-12E, from the ESP8266 family.

How big is the EspDevBoard PCB?

The EspDevBoard measures 69.9 × 66 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the EspDevBoard?

50 components, from 26 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the EspDevBoard design files?

From the frep/kicad repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the EspDevBoard design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with frep. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the EspDevBoard without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP8266 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
