About the Totpvault hardware PCB
Totpvault hardware is an open source ESP32 PCB design by gfoudree, published on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 15 × 40 mm, with 28 components from 18 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the ESP32-C3, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the CH343P, USBLC6-2SC6 and HT75xx-1-SOT89. By type, the board carries 15 capacitors, 4 ICs, 4 resistors, 2 crystals, 2 connectors and 1 diode.
It belongs with the iot & wireless designs in this gallery.
From the project
A secure hardware vault for storing TOTP codes for two-factor authentication
TOTPVault is a secure hardware vault for storing TOTP codes for two-factor authentication. It is compatible with websites and applications which support authenticators such as Google Authenticator or Authy.
TOTPVault uses an RISC-V ESP32-C3 microcontroller to perform cryptographic operations and storage/generation of TOTP codes with a separate chip to run an isolated USB stack.

Totpvault hardware: common questions
What microcontroller does the Totpvault hardware use?
The Totpvault hardware is built around the ESP32-C3, from the ESP32 family.
How big is the Totpvault hardware PCB?
The Totpvault hardware measures 15 × 40 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 0.79 mm thick.
How many components are on the Totpvault hardware?
28 components, from 18 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Totpvault hardware design files?
From the gfoudree/TOTPVault repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Totpvault hardware design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which gfoudree chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the Totpvault hardware without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
