About the Portpulse PCB

Portpulse is an open source WCH CH32/CH55x PCB design by gslee-dev, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 4-layer board measuring 49.5 × 21.6 mm, with 29 components from 14 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the CH552T, from the WCH CH32/CH55x family. Other key parts include the CH334U, FSUSB42MUX, TPS2552DBVR, XC6206P332MR-G and USBLC6-2SC6. By type, the board carries 10 capacitors, 9 resistors, 7 ICs, 2 connectors and 1 crystal.

From the project

USB replug test dongle with KiCad hardware, CH552 firmware, and native C host

off는 data pair를 먼저 끊고 VBUS를 차단합니다. on은 data pair를 연결한 뒤 VBUS를 켜고 fault를 다시 확인합니다.

Portpulse: common questions

What microcontroller does the Portpulse use?

The Portpulse is built around the CH552T, from the WCH CH32/CH55x family.

How big is the Portpulse PCB?

The Portpulse measures 49.5 × 21.6 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Portpulse?

29 components, from 14 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Portpulse design files?

From the gslee-dev/portpulse repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Portpulse design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which gslee-dev chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Portpulse without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug WCH CH32/CH55x firmware against it before you order a PCB.
