About the Esp32-alarm clock PCB

Esp32-alarm clock is an open source ESP32 PCB design by jeremy341, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 4-layer board measuring 103 × 56 mm, with 31 components from 24 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the USBLC6-2SC6, IP5306 and TLV75533PDBV. By type, the board carries 7 capacitors, 7 resistors, 4 ICs, 3 switches, 1 transistor and 1 connector.

It belongs with the displays & leds, rf & radio and power & battery designs in this gallery.

From the project

ESP32 based radio-controlled alarm clock with TFT display and custom UI using a Customade software

Custom alarm clock built around an ESP32-S3-WROOM-1 on a dedicated PCB, with an ILI9341 display, battery powerer , Website , and USB C for both flashing and charging. The website allows the user to choose from existing presets and change the color of them, to change the UI. I created this Project as a birthday gift for my little sister as in the morning i always wake her up and she doesnt have a alarm, I also wanted to gain new skills as i want to become an enginier and build up my CV.

Esp32-alarm clock: common questions

What microcontroller does the Esp32-alarm clock use?

The Esp32-alarm clock is built around the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the Esp32-alarm clock PCB?

The Esp32-alarm clock measures 103 × 56 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.600198 mm thick.

How many components are on the Esp32-alarm clock?

31 components, from 24 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Esp32-alarm clock design files?

From the jeremy341/esp32-alarm-clock repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Esp32-alarm clock design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which jeremy341 chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Esp32-alarm clock without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
