About the Motor drivers PCB

Motor drivers is an open source PCB design by manyetox, published on GitHub under the CC-BY-NC-4.0 license. It is a 4-layer board measuring 25 × 27 mm, with 25 components from 13 distinct parts.

By type, the board carries 10 capacitors, 10 resistors and 3 connectors.

It belongs with the robotics & motion and sensors designs in this gallery.

From the project

Source-available modular mobile carrier for autonomous photonics experiments using ESP32 control, optical flow, IMU sensing and magnetic wheel encoding.

Platform: V2 Board revision: MDI-R2.0 Status: validated; current PCB: 4 layers, approximately 25 × 27 mm

This daughterboard combines low-speed differential-drive actuation with inertial sensing.

- TC78H651FGN dual H-bridge motor driver - BNO086 9-axis smart IMU - SPI-oriented IMU interface signals - separate motor output pads

The design is intended for the low-speed DC-gearmotor V2 drivetrain rather than the V1 stepper/flexure architecture.

Motor drivers: common questions

How big is the Motor drivers PCB?

The Motor drivers measures 25 × 27 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Motor drivers?

25 components, from 13 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Motor drivers design files?

From the manyetox/Autonomous-Photonics-Carrier repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Motor drivers design in my own project?

It is published under CC-BY-NC-4.0, which limits how it may be reused; read the license before building on it.
