From the project

My Motorola 68000 & 68302 processors (+ SIO, PIO & MFP boards) for the RCBus ecosystem.

The base address of each MFP is determined by the placement of a jumper between adjacent pins on J12 & J9 (MFP A) and J12 & J11 (MFP B).

Note that each MFP chip requires a clock signal in order to function correctly, even if the UART and timer are not being used.

Assuming that the crystal oscillator (or CLOCK2) frequency is 3.6864MHz, with the prescaled set to DIV 4 and the required baud rate of 9600 baud, then the following calculation will provide the timer D reload value:
