About the RC200-Dev Backplane PCB

RC200-Dev Backplane is an open source PCB design by MarkD833, published on GitHub under the CC-BY-NC-4.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 188 × 102.9 mm, with 90 components from 33 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the DS1233-10, 74LS04, 74LS148, 74LS20 and 74LS139. By type, the board carries 27 connectors, 18 capacitors, 16 resistors, 11 diodes, 10 switches and 8 ICs.

It belongs with the retro computing designs in this gallery.

From the project

My Motorola 68000 & 68302 processors (+ SIO, PIO & MFP boards) for the RCBus ecosystem.

I had a chat with Steve to get his approval for me to take his SC701 backplane design and alter it for my own needs.

This backplane I've put together has 2 additional slots - making 8 in total. It also incorporates parts of Steve's SC719 digital I/O board to give 8 debug LEDs and 8 tactile pushbuttons. I also incorporated his SC729 CompactFlash module (with electronics by Tadeusz Pycio - www.vtsys.pl) as well.
