About the Skyler PCB
Skyler is an open source ESP32 PCB design by melsamad, published on GitHub. It is a board, with 15 components from 14 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the ESP32-WROOM-32, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the ESP32-CAM, TFT_320x240, LM386 and Pololu_Breakout_A4988. By type, the board carries 4 ICs, 4 modules, 2 capacitors, 1 jumper, 1 speaker and 1 switch.
It belongs with the robotics & motion, audio and displays & leds designs in this gallery.

An Ai Tutor Lamp to help with your homework instead of pulling out your phone
I finished school (yay) and looking back I realized that after finishing my homework (especially anything math related) or when I stumble upon hard problems I can't solve until the end, I have a tendency of grabbing my phone, taking a picture of the homework and asking some sort of Ai to help out or correct my work.
I think this is a good use of Ai, but here's the catch: I end up doom scrolling on my phone. So instead of having to go through all this and losing my focus, I thought to myself: why not build an Ai tutor lamp with a built-in camera that can just move around, snap a picture of my…

Skyler: common questions
What microcontroller does the Skyler use?
The Skyler is built around the ESP32-WROOM-32, from the ESP32 family.
How many components are on the Skyler?
15 components, from 14 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Skyler design files?
From the melsamad/skyler repository on GitHub, which has the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Skyler design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with melsamad. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Skyler without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
