From the project

ESPHome RGBCCT LED Controller is a PCB design that support a 5-Channel LED arrangement with Red, Green, Blue, Warm White and Cool White LEDs.

The PCB is designed in KiCad. Fabrication and is tuned toward JCLPCB. I using my Whizoo Controleo3 oven to handle all but the Thru-Hole stuff which is hand soldered.

Rev A**: Has been fabricated, assembled, tested and is use in four places. There is one issue TMP1075 (U1) is connected to VINP and will burn when powered by 24V and must be left off the PCB.

Only the 5A configuration has been tested. Short circuit on LED outputs will not damage the board but the red LED will not light up. This type of short circuits will recover automatically recover when removed. Short circuits on the fan…

Stencil: common questions

What microcontroller does the Stencil use?

The Stencil is built around the ESP32-C3-MINI-1-N4X, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the Stencil PCB?

The Stencil measures 100 × 45 mm, has 6 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Stencil?

82 components, from 43 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Stencil design files?

From the mikelawrence/esphome-rgbcct-led-controller repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Stencil design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CERN-OHL-P-2.0 license, which mikelawrence chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Stencil without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
