About the Psu PCB

Psu is an open source PCB design by OpenSiPM, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 23 × 22.2 mm, with 14 components from 10 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the LM2776, TPS72301DBVR and TPS79333DBVR. By type, the board carries 8 capacitors, 3 ICs, 2 resistors and 1 connector.

It belongs with the power & battery designs in this gallery.

From the project

Single channel silicon photomultipliers for high-speed fluorescence imaging

The OpenSiPM project aims to design high performance, low cost detectors for fluorescense microscopy.

The sipm-bias-control repository contains the KiCAD design files for a high dynamic range silicon photomultiplier (SiPM) transimpedance amplifier, power suppply, and bias generator designed by Eben Olson and Michael Giacomelli. The repository is organized into separate folders for each component, with bias-control-lt8362 containing the design files for the high voltage bias generator, power-supply/power-supply-alt containing two equivilent opamp power supply boards, and the tiav3_s1XXXX…

Psu: common questions

How big is the Psu PCB?

The Psu measures 23 × 22.2 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Psu?

14 components, from 10 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Psu design files?

From the OpenSiPM/sipm-bias-control repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Psu design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which OpenSiPM chose for the repository.
