From the project

TACNPR by Scoms -- Open hardware high-speed Ethernet/IP data radio for the 433 MHz HAM band, binary-compatible with the original NPR by F4HDK.

NPR-compatible (New Packet Radio) Ethernet-connected radio w/ integrated RF PA for the 70cm HAM band. TACNPR is binary-compatible with the original design /1/ by Guillaume F4HDK.

Designed by Lasse OH3HZB & Tatu OH2EAT & Scoms team (special thanks to Mikko OH2FLO, Vili OH5GE and Tommi OH1GJV (TACBUCK design))

Please note that you need to be licensed HAM radio operator to use this radio. Remember to check your local regulations.

Scoms tacnpr: common questions

What microcontroller does the Scoms tacnpr use?

The Scoms tacnpr is built around the STM32L432KC, from the STM32 family.

How big is the Scoms tacnpr PCB?

The Scoms tacnpr measures 99.1 × 99.1 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Scoms tacnpr?

279 components, from 89 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Scoms tacnpr design files?

From the partio-scout/scoms-tacnpr repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Scoms tacnpr design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its TAPR-OHL-1.0 license, which partio-scout chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Scoms tacnpr without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
