About the ESP32-hema console PCB

ESP32-hema console is an open source ESP32 PCB design by rapha-tech, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 33 × 50 mm, with 59 components from 34 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the 74LVC1G17, NS4168, AP2112K-3.3, TP4054 and SN74LVC1G80DCKR. By type, the board carries 18 resistors, 15 capacitors, 10 switches, 6 ICs, 4 diodes and 2 transistors.

From the project

New PCB for the small console from hema to use an ESP32

Known problems : - The buttons doesn't make great contact compared to the original PCB

Components : - ESP32 module without PCB antenna - 1.54 inches IPS 240240px - about 33030mm battery or 415*30mm

Note : it is almost the same schematic as my Retro-Ruler ##

ESP32-hema console: common questions

What microcontroller does the ESP32-hema console use?

The ESP32-hema console is built around the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the ESP32-hema console PCB?

The ESP32-hema console measures 33 × 50 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the ESP32-hema console?

59 components, from 34 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the ESP32-hema console design files?

From the rapha-tech/ESP32-hema-console repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the ESP32-hema console design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with rapha-tech. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the ESP32-hema console without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
