The goal of this system is to provide independent and precise control of a 24-LED matrix composed of high-power LEDs to independently illuminate 24 wells of a Greiner plate containing duckweed. This setup is integrated within a Jubilee robot architecture (a 3D printer transformed into a plant culture robot). The architecture is divided into two main stages: two dedicated PCA9685 PWM controllers that handle 12 channels each, and individual power modules equipped with AL8861 components.

Schemav2: common questions
What microcontroller does the Schemav2 use?
The Schemav2 is built around the ESP32-DEVKITC, from the ESP32 family.
How big is the Schemav2 PCB?
The Schemav2 measures 160.5 × 146.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Schemav2?
139 components, from 18 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Schemav2 design files?
From the rayanyahiaoui13/24PowerLEDsController repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Schemav2 design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which rayanyahiaoui13 chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the Schemav2 without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
