PCB etc.

This is a repository containing all of the electrical board designs of The Bots, including firmware for the chicker board, which is contained in that sub-folder.

The robot contains five custom PCBs (not including the Raspberry Pi).

All five boards contained on our robot (six including the Raspberry Pi), for context, are listed as follows: 1. Raspberry Pi 4 - Main Robot Computer and link between the active running computer running our team's software 2. Faceplate - Connector between Raspberry Pi and Midplate for CANBUS communication, peripherals, and LCD screen eyes 3. Midplate - Battery…

PAC5527Driver: common questions

What microcontroller does the PAC5527Driver use?

The PAC5527Driver is built around the RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the PAC5527Driver PCB?

The PAC5527Driver measures 34 × 34 mm, has 6 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the PAC5527Driver?

77 components, from 63 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the PAC5527Driver design files?

From the sfunderbots/Electrical repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the PAC5527Driver design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with sfunderbots. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the PAC5527Driver without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
