First download the PCB Gerber file from here then send it to your preferred manufacturer! Next buy all of the components from the BOM. For screws and similar items, it is recommended to find the cheapest in your location. Next 3D print the case from here here and ensure the PCB fits once it arrives. Next solder on all of the components and screw the PCB into the case! Finally flash the firmware onto it from here (you might have to build the file on you own computer)

Videocraft PetPad: common questions

What microcontroller does the Videocraft PetPad use?

The Videocraft PetPad is built around the XIAO-ESP32-C6-DIP, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the Videocraft PetPad PCB?

The Videocraft PetPad measures 50 × 75 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Videocraft PetPad?

8 components, from 6 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Videocraft PetPad design files?

From the Videocraft10/PetPad repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Videocraft PetPad design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which Videocraft10 chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Videocraft PetPad without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
