About the O-hareAir PCB

O-hareAir is an open source ESP32 PCB design by Will946, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 53.1 × 57.7 mm, with 43 components from 21 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ESP32-H2-MINI-1, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the ENS161, AP2120, AP2205 and ENS210. By type, the board carries 16 capacitors, 14 resistors, 5 ICs, 3 LEDs, 2 switches and 1 transistor.

It belongs with the sensors, dev boards & breakouts and iot & wireless designs in this gallery, and the repository also holds 1 earlier revision of it.

From the project

An ESP32-based flower that measures air quality with real sensors and physically points a needle at how badly you need to open a window.

A desktop air quality monitor shaped like a flower. It watches temperature, humidity, and air quality (eCO2/eTVOC/AQI-UBA) with a ScioSense ENS161 + ENS210, points a physical stepper-driven needle at the current rating, glows green-to-red through an RGB LED, and serves a full live dashboard over Wi-Fi with history and CSV export. No app, no cloud, no account.

O-hareAir: common questions

What microcontroller does the O-hareAir use?

The O-hareAir is built around the ESP32-H2-MINI-1, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the O-hareAir PCB?

The O-hareAir measures 53.1 × 57.7 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.66 mm thick.

How many components are on the O-hareAir?

43 components, from 21 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the O-hareAir design files?

From the Will946/O-hareAir repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the O-hareAir design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which Will946 chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the O-hareAir without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
