About the AIR-CO2 PCB

AIR-CO2 is an open source PCB design by Xerolux, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-S-2.0 license. It is a 4-layer board measuring 25 × 25 mm, with 6 components from 6 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the LMR36510ADDAR and AP2112K-3.3TRG1. By type, the board carries 3 capacitors, 2 ICs and 1 connector.

It belongs with the sensors designs in this gallery.

From the project

B-ES5-MODULAR uses three electrically identical 2x4, 2.54 mm slots. The base board is labelled CO2, VOC/NOx and PRESSURE for a clear default arrangement, but every module works in every slot. Up to three modules may be fitted at the same time.

The symmetric pinout is electrically identical after a 180-degree rotation. Each module produces its own 3.3 V locally. For the enclosure, insert all modules with their sensor side toward the broad lid ventilation field; the electrical protection is not a substitute for correct mechanical orientation.

AIR-CO2: common questions

How big is the AIR-CO2 PCB?

The AIR-CO2 measures 25 × 25 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the AIR-CO2?

6 components, from 6 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the AIR-CO2 design files?

From the Xerolux/IDM-Smart-Climate-Platform repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the AIR-CO2 design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CERN-OHL-S-2.0 license, which Xerolux chose for the repository.
