SDR Kit base board

A modular baseboard designed for advanced Software Defined Radio (SDR) ecosystems.

Below, you can see a GNU Radio Companion (GRC) flowgraph demonstrating the implementation of the dedicated #TRNXSDR source block.

Furthermore, we performed a dynamic frequency shift test. In the waterfall plot below, you can see a "snake" pattern created by manually sweeping the carrier frequency. The sweep was performed roughly within a ±500 kHz range around the 433 MHz center.

The KiCad project lives in the acruxcz/TRNXSDR-carrier repository on GitHub; these links point at the commit this page was built from.

TRNXSDR-carrier: common questions

What microcontroller does the TRNXSDR-carrier use?

The TRNXSDR-carrier is built around the STM32G070RBTx, from the STM32 family.

How big is the TRNXSDR-carrier PCB?

The TRNXSDR-carrier measures 91.8 × 139.8 mm, has 6 copper layers and is 1.5862 mm thick.

How many components are on the TRNXSDR-carrier?

702 components, from 69 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the TRNXSDR-carrier design files?

From the acruxcz/TRNXSDR-carrier repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the TRNXSDR-carrier design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CERN-OHL-S-2.0 license, which acruxcz chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the TRNXSDR-carrier without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
