From the project
My bachelor's thesis hardware part.
KiCad 8 project of the custom two-layer printed circuit board that implements a single A3MESH node. Developed as part of the Bachelor's Thesis A3MESH: A Decentralised LoRa Mesh Platform for Off-Grid Smartphone Messaging. The design integrates an ESP32-WROOM-32UE microcontroller, a Semtech SX1276 (RFM95W) LoRa transceiver, a TPS63001 buck-boost converter, a TP4056 lithium-ion charger with DW01A/FS8205A protection, and the accompanying interface circuitry into a card-sized form factor intended to be adhered to the back of a smartphone case.

Tfg hardware: common questions
What microcontroller does the Tfg hardware use?
The Tfg hardware is built around the ESP32-WROOM-32UE, from the ESP32 family.
How big is the Tfg hardware PCB?
The Tfg hardware measures 74.5 × 89.8 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Tfg hardware?
48 components, from 28 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Tfg hardware design files?
From the alcaaron/tfg_hardware repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Tfg hardware design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with alcaaron. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Tfg hardware without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
