From the project

AURA: open wearable note-taking device development — PCB, printable case, firmware, Next.js/Convex notes, interactive 3D site and launch film.

This directory does not contain a fabrication-ready PCB release. Do not order the placement export or standalone session.

See ../../docs/hardware.md for charging, cell, RF, acoustic, mechanical and software qualification limits. The earlier connector SES import was cancelled without an explanation. No alternative import was performed to bypass it. A standalone routing session is not an independently checked routed KiCad board.

Aura a03-native routing: common questions

What microcontroller does the Aura a03-native routing use?

The Aura a03-native routing is built around the MDBT50Q-1MV2, from the Nordic nRF family.

How big is the Aura a03-native routing PCB?

The Aura a03-native routing measures 24 × 42 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 0.8 mm thick.

How many components are on the Aura a03-native routing?

61 components, from 61 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Aura a03-native routing design files?

From the Avinash1286/pendent repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Aura a03-native routing design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which Avinash1286 chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Aura a03-native routing without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug Nordic nRF firmware against it before you order a PCB.
