From the project

Lune V6 - local 6-zone hydronic underfloor-heating manifold controller. ESPHome on ESP32-S3 with 3x DRV8411, hardware one-hot channel select, shared high-side current sense and commutation-ripple position learning.

Editable KiCad 10 design for the USB-C-powered, six-channel DRV8837 HeatValve controller.

- Schematic: complete first electrical-review revision; KiCad ERC reports 0 errors. - PCB: compact four-layer 120 x 75 mm placement review with 128 electrical footprints, two M3 holes, an antenna notch, GND/+3V3 inner planes, and an intentionally unrouted ratsnest. - Fabrication status: not released. Routing, mechanical confirmation, and final footprint/availability review are still required. - PCB DRC: not current; KiCad CLI 10.0.3 aborts on both the original and updated board. Lune: common questions

What microcontroller does the Lune use?

The Lune is built around the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1-N16R8, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the Lune PCB?

The Lune measures 120 × 75 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Lune?

128 components, from 61 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Lune design files?

From the Birkemosen/lune repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Lune design in my own project?

It is published under CC-BY-NC-4.0, which limits how it may be reused; read the license before building on it.

Can I test firmware for the Lune without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
