About the Hub PCB

Hub is an open source ESP32 PCB design by cUDGk, published on GitHub under the Custom license license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 60 × 48 mm, with 55 components from 31 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the C2913197, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the C6186, C22459454, C7519 and C55136. By type, the board carries 17 resistors, 14 capacitors, 9 ICs, 5 connectors, 4 fuses and 2 switches.

It belongs with the sensors and iot & wireless designs in this gallery.

Hub: common questions

What microcontroller does the Hub use?

The Hub is built around the C2913197, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the Hub PCB?

The Hub measures 60 × 48 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Hub?

55 components, from 31 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Hub design files?

From the cUDGk/vrc-fbt-hardware repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Hub design in my own project?

It is published under Custom license, which limits how it may be reused; read the license before building on it.

Can I test firmware for the Hub without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
