You need to install cmake, arm-none-eabi-gcc compiler with arm-none-eabi-newlib and arm-none-eabi-binutils installed, and installation dirs should be in $PATH. Simply installation from your distro's repository usually enough. To flash the MCU with ST-link programmer you should install stlink utility. Then:

The KiCad project lives in the DAlexis/caustic-lasertag-system repository on GitHub; these links point at the commit this page was built from.

Rifle mono v1-panelized: common questions

What microcontroller does the Rifle mono v1-panelized use?

The Rifle mono v1-panelized is built around the STM32F103RE, from the STM32 family.

How big is the Rifle mono v1-panelized PCB?

The Rifle mono v1-panelized measures 77.5 × 97.1 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Rifle mono v1-panelized?

75 components, from 45 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Rifle mono v1-panelized design files?

From the DAlexis/caustic-lasertag-system repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Rifle mono v1-panelized design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which DAlexis chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Rifle mono v1-panelized without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
