From the project

AURC Battery Management System (KiCad)

Battery Management System for AURC (Australian Universities Rocket Competition). Four-channel battery board set feeding two flight computers (FC1, FC2) and two pyro boards. KiCad 10 project set.

Each boardN/ is an independent KiCad project (.kicadpro / .kicadsch / .kicadpcb) with its own sym-lib-table + fp-lib-table that resolve the shared library at ../libs/ under the nickname BMS. Add a part once in libs/; all three boards see it.

Board1 power: common questions

What microcontroller does the Board1 power use?

The Board1 power is built around the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the Board1 power PCB?

The Board1 power measures 100 × 100 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Board1 power?

147 components, from 50 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Board1 power design files?

From the DashiellRussell/aurc-bms repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Board1 power design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with DashiellRussell. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Board1 power without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
