Archive of my 4BitCPU project
Archiving what I used/created for this project. Schematics are not the most up to date as bugs were found throughout the building process, these have been addressed on the physical copies of the schematics and filed away in the purple file. 4BITCPU.kicad_sch is the 2 Data registers, the ALU and the FLAGS register.
The design/architecture is based off of the SAP-1 from following Ben Eater's SAP-1 videos. Modified to have a 4 Bit data bus and seperate 8 bit address bus. The design goal was to expabd my knowledge of microelectronics and computer architecture as well as ASM. The end goal is to…

4BitCPU: common questions
How many components are on the 4BitCPU?
49 components, from 12 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the 4BitCPU design files?
From the DylanMcKaige/4BitCPU repository on GitHub, which has the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the 4BitCPU design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with DylanMcKaige. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
