About the Hps08 PCB

Hps08 is an open source PCB design by gzweigle, published on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 38.1 × 10.2 mm, with 4 components from 3 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the cny70. By type, the board carries 2 resistors, 1 IC and 1 connector.

It belongs with the audio designs in this gallery.

From the project

Building a hybrid MIDI digital piano

Originally, the HPS PCB was for hammers. However, the sensor also works for dampers. Not changing the name because many circuit boards have already been built.

Like version 0.4, version 0.8 has fixed resistor values. Version 0.8 is a different header pin order compared to version 0.4. This provides a better physical match to some mainboards.

Version 0.4 is through hole resistors, version 0.8 is surface mount resistors.

Hps08: common questions

How big is the Hps08 PCB?

The Hps08 measures 38.1 × 10.2 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Hps08?

4 components, from 3 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Hps08 design files?

From the gzweigle/open-hybrid-piano repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Hps08 design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which gzweigle chose for the repository.
