About the Crystaltriggeramp PCB

Crystaltriggeramp is an open source PCB design by jonnor, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 25 × 34 mm, with 11 components from 7 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the TL072. By type, the board carries 5 resistors, 3 capacitors, 1 IC, 1 crystal and 1 diode.

It belongs with the robotics & motion, audio and sensors designs in this gallery.

From the project

Small projects not worthy of dedicated repositories

Experiments around the piezeoelectric effect, both sensors and transducers.

Piezo elements have an incredibly long list of common applications.

For a capacitive sensor like a piezo element, a Charge amplifier is better than a voltage or current amplifier.

Gain is G = Cinput / Cfeedback. It is neccesary to limit the DC amplification using. And to correct for input bias causing DC offset on output, R1 == R2, where R1 is on the negative input connected to.
