About the TwinNode: Low-Power Water Level Monitor PCB

TwinNode: Low-Power Water Level Monitor is an open source ESP8266 PCB design by MAATHES-THILAK-K, published on GitHub under the Apache-2.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 44.3 × 41.9 mm, with 33 components from 21 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ESP-12F, from the ESP8266 family. Other key parts include the RT9080-33GJ5, TP4056-42-ESOP8 and DW01A. By type, the board carries 11 resistors, 9 capacitors, 5 connectors, 4 ICs, 1 transistor and 1 switch.

It belongs with the power & battery, iot & wireless and sensors designs in this gallery.

From the project

ESP-NOW based solar-powered water level monitoring system for overhead tanks. An outdoor ESP8266 node uses a waterproof ultrasonic sensor to measure water level and transmits data wirelessly without internet. Designed for ultra-low power, outdoor reliability, and real-world deployment.

TWIN NODE V2.0 is the fabricated and tested hardware revision of the low-power ESP-NOW water level monitoring system. This version incorporates real-world fabrication feedback, improving reliability and simplifying the design for future revisions.

All components are sourced from ROBU.IN.

Mounting holes: Increased from 3 to 4 for better casing support I2C expanders: Removed, no longer required Programming & power connections: Female headers replaced with JST connectors Component placement: Fully optimized for aesthetic and practical routing PCB traces: Increased width to support longer…
