This board is designed to be used in a classroom setting and expands available I/O devices for both the STM32 and TI MSPM0 development boards. It is powered by a 12V DC Barrel jack which is then used to create a 5V and a 3.3V rail. The board can supply power to both the STM32 and TI MSPM0 through the U1 and U4 header pins. It expands the available I/O to 9 major devices: DC servo motor, buzzer, additional buttons, joystick, microphone, light sensor, RGB LED, LCD screen, and NUM-pad.

Capstone: common questions

How big is the Capstone PCB?

The Capstone measures 232.4 × 172.7 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Capstone?

55 components, from 38 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Capstone design files?

From the MilesMayhew/Pedagogical-PCB repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Capstone design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with MilesMayhew. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
