From the project

ESP32 IoT development board with 100Mb Ethernet and 802.3 Power Over Ethernet (POE)

ESP32-PoE is an IoT WIFI/BLE/Ethernet development board with Power-Over-Ethernet feature.

The Si3402-B chip is IEEE 802.3-compliant, including pre-standard (legacy) PoE support.

Perfect solution for Internet-of-Things that can be expanded with sensors and actuators taking power from Ethernet cable.

Low-power design consuming less then 100uA in deep sleep mode!

ESP32-PoE Rev M1: common questions

What microcontroller does the ESP32-PoE Rev M1 use?

The ESP32-PoE Rev M1 is built around the ESP32-WROOM-32E-N4, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the ESP32-PoE Rev M1 PCB?

The ESP32-PoE Rev M1 measures 28 × 80 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the ESP32-PoE Rev M1?

130 components, from 75 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the ESP32-PoE Rev M1 design files?

From the OLIMEX/ESP32-POE repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the ESP32-PoE Rev M1 design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its Apache-2.0 license, which OLIMEX chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the ESP32-PoE Rev M1 without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
