About the NoNameComputer-2.0 PCB

NoNameComputer-2.0 is an open source STM32 PCB design by PlanAndBuild, published on GitHub. It is a 4-layer board measuring 40 × 100 mm, with 107 components from 43 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the STM32H5RIV6, from the STM32 family. Other key parts include the LSM6DSV80XTR, TPS56C230RJER, W25Q128JVE, boot and RST. By type, the board carries 35 connectors, 25 ICs, 24 diodes, 8 transistors, 7 inductors and 6 fuses.

It belongs with the sensors and rf & radio designs in this gallery.

From the project

The NoNameComputer 2.0 AKA NNCpro is being designed for mid-high power rockets and other flying vehicle. It will be equipped with various sensors like barometers, IMUs, magnetometer, current sensing etc.

6x Pyrotechniacal channels (used for firing parachute charges, motor ignitions etc.)

Long-Range radio (based on two LoRa modules for simultaneous transmiting and reciveing)

Current and Voltage sensing (based on INA3221 three channel current sensor)

Audio signaling (using passive buzzer with possibility of modulation sound wave)

Flash memory for storing software and flight data in flight

NoNameComputer-2.0: common questions

What microcontroller does the NoNameComputer-2.0 use?

The NoNameComputer-2.0 is built around the STM32H5RIV6, from the STM32 family.

How big is the NoNameComputer-2.0 PCB?

The NoNameComputer-2.0 measures 40 × 100 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.599978 mm thick.

How many components are on the NoNameComputer-2.0?

107 components, from 43 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the NoNameComputer-2.0 design files?

From the PlanAndBuild/NoNameComputer-2.0 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the NoNameComputer-2.0 design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with PlanAndBuild. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the NoNameComputer-2.0 without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
