About the The-Surevival PCB

The-Surevival is an open source ESP32 PCB design by Rishaan2202, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 51 × 23 mm, with 72 components from 35 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ESP32-S3FN8, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the HSFPAR004A, AO3401A, TMP1075DSG, SMD3225 and HX711. By type, the board carries 28 resistors, 22 capacitors, 8 ICs, 5 switches, 4 connectors and 3 diodes.

It belongs with the rf & radio, power & battery and displays & leds designs in this gallery.

From the project

Yooo here!!! I am Rishaan Sharma, a 14 year old Indian. I am making this project, 'The Surevival' as a survival tool. It would have functions like Survival guide, GPS, whether reports, etc. I'll be making this on KiCad, and yeah I'm a beginner! It's going to be a very interesting project, so please do check out for the Journal!

Yeah, so this was the first PCB built by me, I have already made one before, but because of some unignorable things, I will need to redesign it. Well if you want to give any kinda comment regarding this project, then pls feel free to contact me. Here are my details:

The-Surevival: common questions

What microcontroller does the The-Surevival use?

The The-Surevival is built around the ESP32-S3FN8, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the The-Surevival PCB?

The The-Surevival measures 51 × 23 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the The-Surevival?

72 components, from 35 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the The-Surevival design files?

From the Rishaan2202/The-Surevival repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the The-Surevival design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Rishaan2202. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the The-Surevival without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
