About the Peakick PCB

Peakick is an open source PCB design by rrainey, published on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 58.4 × 54 mm, with 26 components from 20 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the BMP390, SAM-M10Q-00B, ICM-42688-P and MMC5983MA. By type, the board carries 8 capacitors, 5 resistors, 4 ICs, 3 connectors, 3 inductors and 1 crystal.

It belongs with the sensors, audio and rf & radio designs in this gallery.

From the project

Audible information for skydivers

This repository is a collection point for a number of jump logging devices I designed for skydivers.

Three boards are part of the Tempo project: Tempo-BT, Tempo, and Peakick. All three explore modern sensor ICs for use in skydiving. The Peakick board is more research oriented. Peakick is design as a daughter board for experimentation with a range of microcontroller boards. It is most easily connected to SparkFun "Thing Plus" form factor boards, although it can be connected to almost any modern MCU/SOC board designed for 3.3V peripherals.

Peakick: common questions

How big is the Peakick PCB?

The Peakick measures 58.4 × 54 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Peakick?

26 components, from 20 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Peakick design files?

From the rrainey/tempo repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Peakick design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which rrainey chose for the repository.
