From the project

Ultra-compact 4-layer circular BLE sensor pod with ESP32-C6, CR2032 coin-cell power and environmental sensors

This project is a commercial-grade, ultra-compact ESP32-C6 BLE Sensor Node engineered from the ground up for harsh industrial environments, puck-style hermetic enclosures, and long-life coin-cell operation. Designed in KiCad 10, the entire board complies with rigorous industrial Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) rules.

The hardware supports two assembly configurations managed via unified BOM files:

Esp32c6-ble sensor coin cell: common questions

What microcontroller does the Esp32c6-ble sensor coin cell use?

The Esp32c6-ble sensor coin cell is built around the ESP32-C6-MINI-1-N4, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the Esp32c6-ble sensor coin cell PCB?

The Esp32c6-ble sensor coin cell measures 31.4 × 31 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Esp32c6-ble sensor coin cell?

53 components, from 32 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Esp32c6-ble sensor coin cell design files?

From the xmyoot/esp32c6-ble-sensor-coin-cell repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Esp32c6-ble sensor coin cell design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with xmyoot. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Esp32c6-ble sensor coin cell without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
