About the TableLight PCB

TableLight is an open source ESP32 PCB design by jonny190, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 110 × 110 mm, with 68 components from 41 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ESP32-WROOM-32E-N4, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the TP4056, DW01A, MT3608, AP2112K-3.3 and CH340C. By type, the board carries 22 resistors, 17 capacitors, 8 ICs, 6 transistors, 5 connectors and 4 diodes.

It belongs with the power & battery designs in this gallery.

Ready to order: fab/tablelight-gerbers.zip (+ fab/tablelight-bom.csv, fab/tablelight-cpl.csv for assembly). Ordering parameters and a pre-order checklist are in fab/README.md. The KiCad 7 board is kicad/tablelight.kicadpcb`: hand-placed, autorouted (freerouting, 2 layers, 58 vias), GND pours both sides, KiCad DRC clean (0 unconnected, 0…

TableLight: common questions

What microcontroller does the TableLight use?

The TableLight is built around the ESP32-WROOM-32E-N4, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the TableLight PCB?

The TableLight measures 110 × 110 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the TableLight?

68 components, from 41 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the TableLight design files?

From the jonny190/TableLight repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the TableLight design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which jonny190 chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the TableLight without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
