About the GlowBand PCB
GlowBand is an open source ESP32 PCB design by LEDs-by-glowingkitty, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 27.9 × 34.3 mm, with 76 components from 31 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the ESP32-S3-MINI-1-N8, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the SN74LVC1G373DBVR, PTVSHC3N12VU, AP40P05, AO3400A and SN74LVC2T45DCUR. By type, the board carries 20 connectors, 19 capacitors, 18 resistors, 13 ICs, 3 switches and 1 inductor.
From the project
GlowBand is an exciting LED wristband. For dancing at parties and festivals, for long-time exposure photography, and for everyday situations that need some light.

This project started as "The Glowing Arms Project" (check out the "GlowBand v0.1" folder) and after experimenting with making the project smaller and based on existing PCBs ("GlowBand v0.2" folder) I decided to instead make a custom PCB design ("GlowBand v1.0"). The PCB design is still in development, but I plan to finish the design in the coming months. Stay tuned!

GlowBand: common questions
What microcontroller does the GlowBand use?
The GlowBand is built around the ESP32-S3-MINI-1-N8, from the ESP32 family.
How big is the GlowBand PCB?
The GlowBand measures 27.9 × 34.3 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.09 mm thick.
How many components are on the GlowBand?
76 components, from 31 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the GlowBand design files?
From the LEDs-by-glowingkitty/GlowBand repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the GlowBand design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which LEDs-by-glowingkitty chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the GlowBand without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
