About the Vm129-cpu PCB

Vm129-cpu is an open source ESP32 PCB design by mirdej, published on GitHub. It is a 4-layer board measuring 53.1 × 113.2 mm, with 95 components from 51 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ESP32-S3-WROOM, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the LD1117S33TR_SOT223, LM311, 74HC244, 4N25 and LMH6643. By type, the board carries 38 resistors, 21 capacitors, 20 connectors, 11 ICs, 3 inductors and 2 diodes.

It belongs with the audio designs in this gallery.

Multichannel modular analog PAL video mixer based on the SYNKIE project

The Anymix21 is a 12 channel analog video mixer based on the paradigm of classic audio mixing desks.

Each channel is a complete SYNKIE by itself, sort of. It can handle anything from DC to around 10Mhz, this means you can mix CV signals with audio with PAL composite video signals. Contrary to an audio mixer, inputs are DC coupled, with 0v being black and 0.7V white level. Negative levels are permitted but will be clipped at the final output stage.

Vm129-cpu: common questions

What microcontroller does the Vm129-cpu use?

The Vm129-cpu is built around the ESP32-S3-WROOM, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the Vm129-cpu PCB?

The Vm129-cpu measures 53.1 × 113.2 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 4.69 mm thick.

How many components are on the Vm129-cpu?

95 components, from 51 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Vm129-cpu design files?

From the mirdej/vmix repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Vm129-cpu design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with mirdej. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Vm129-cpu without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
