About the PQ BotBoard PCB

PQ BotBoard is an open source PCB design by nanosatlab, published on GitHub. It is a 6-layer board measuring 64 × 52 mm, with 29 components from 23 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the TCN75AVOA713 and TPS7A7002DDAR. By type, the board carries 3 connectors, 3 diodes, 3 capacitors, 2 ICs and 2 resistors.

It belongs with the rf & radio, power & battery and sensors designs in this gallery.

From the project

IEEE PocketQubes

Hardware repository for the IEEE GRSS PocketQube built at the NanoSat Lab (UPC).

It holds the complete electrical and mechanical design of the satellite: KiCad projects for every PCB in the stack, the SolidWorks/STEP assembly of the full spacecraft, the deployment mechanisms, and the ground/mechanical support equipment used to integrate and test it.

This repository contains design data only — there is nothing to build or run. Flight and ground software live elsewhere, as does the PL3 payload hardware (nanosatlab/pocat-rfi-5g).

PQ BotBoard: common questions

How big is the PQ BotBoard PCB?

The PQ BotBoard measures 64 × 52 mm, has 6 copper layers and is 2 mm thick.

How many components are on the PQ BotBoard?

29 components, from 23 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the PQ BotBoard design files?

From the nanosatlab/pocat-hw repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the PQ BotBoard design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with nanosatlab. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
