About the PQ PL1 PCB

PQ PL1 is an open source PCB design by nanosatlab, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 40 × 40 mm, with 5 components from 2 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the PTC06. By type, the board carries 4 connectors and 1 IC.

It belongs with the rf & radio, power & battery and sensors designs in this gallery.

From the project

IEEE PocketQubes

Hardware repository for the IEEE GRSS PocketQube built at the NanoSat Lab (UPC).

It holds the complete electrical and mechanical design of the satellite: KiCad projects for every PCB in the stack, the SolidWorks/STEP assembly of the full spacecraft, the deployment mechanisms, and the ground/mechanical support equipment used to integrate and test it.

This repository contains design data only — there is nothing to build or run. Flight and ground software live elsewhere, as does the PL3 payload hardware (nanosatlab/pocat-rfi-5g).

PQ PL1: common questions

How big is the PQ PL1 PCB?

The PQ PL1 measures 40 × 40 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the PQ PL1?

5 components, from 2 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the PQ PL1 design files?

From the nanosatlab/pocat-hw repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the PQ PL1 design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with nanosatlab. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
