About the OreSat Mag Card PCB

OreSat Mag Card is an open source PCB design by oresat, published on GitHub under the GPL-2.0 license. It is a 4-layer board measuring 99.8 × 94.6 mm, with 175 components from 50 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the MAX7310ATE+, MIC842LYC5-TR, TS5A21366DCUR, MAX4211FETE and TPS62111RSA. By type, the board carries 77 resistors, 62 capacitors, 17 ICs, 5 transistors, 5 connectors and 4 diodes.

It belongs with the sensors designs in this gallery.

From the project

Controller PCB for OreSat reaction wheels, magnetorquers, IMU, and magnetometers

The OreSat Mag Card handles three things for the open source OreSat CubeSat system:

- Reads the four magnetometers located on the end caps of the satellite and broadcasts the data on the CAN bus. - Reads the 6 DOF inertial measurement unit (IMU) and broadcasts the data on the CAN bus (mostly just the gyroscopes). - Runs the three magnetorquers based on commands from the C3 via the CAN bus.
