About the Vik playground PCB
Vik playground is an open source PCB design by sadekbaroudi, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-P-2.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 99 × 65.5 mm, with 40 components from 17 distinct parts.
Other key parts include the SN74HC595, MCP23017-E/SO and TS3A27518EPW. By type, the board carries 10 diodes, 8 connectors, 7 switches, 5 jumpers, 4 resistors and 3 ICs.
From the project
This is a VIK module designed to allow you to experiment and prototype.
This is a VIK module designed to allow you to experiment and prototype.
It includes: MCP23017 I/O expander 74hc595 shift register WS2812B 5050 leds MX/Choc V1/Gateron low profile switch footprint, both hotswap and solderable Row/Column and Direct Pin switch configuration (default is Row/Column) EC11 footprint
All pins are broken out. If you have female headers connected, you can experiment with your wiring, write firmware, and prototype / test features.

Vik playground: common questions
How big is the Vik playground PCB?
The Vik playground measures 99 × 65.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Vik playground?
40 components, from 17 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Vik playground design files?
From the sadekbaroudi/vik repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Vik playground design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its CERN-OHL-P-2.0 license, which sadekbaroudi chose for the repository.
